ZNA embarks on recruitment drive

4 Infantry Brigade Public Relations Officer

MASVINGO – The Zimbabwe National Army (ZNA) will embark on a four week
recruitment exercise for General Duty soldiers and Specialists in Masvingo
Province.

The Recruiting
Officer 4 Infantry Brigade, Administrative Staff Officer Class Two (ASO2),
Major Tendai Cleopas Chirinda said the exercise would run from 30 March to 28
April 2021.

“Candidates willing
to join as General Duty soldiers should possess a minimum of 5 ‘O’ level passes
and Specialists are to have recognised qualifications in teaching biology,
chemistry and physics.

“We are also
inviting  Rehabilitation technicians,
X-ray operators, Psychologists, Sign writers and Web section, Brick layers,
Plasterers, Tillers, Quantity surveyors, Hardware and network technicians, Heat
treatment technicians, Trimmers, Motor cycle mechanics, Fitter and Turners,
Assistant chaplains, Undertakers, Tailors, Radio and power technicians,  Mining engineers, Spray painters, Printing
press operators, Machinist and Refrigeration technicians, Rig operators, Mining
managers, Mineral resource evaluators, Estate managers and Estate evaluators,”
said Major Chirinda.

Major Chirinda said
the initial phase of the recruitment exercise is going to encompass depositing
of application letters by potential candidates at selected points within the
seven districts as from 30 March to 06 April 2021.

After depositing
the letters, shortlisted candidates will be advised over the telephone to attend
a selection process at Headquarters 4 Infantry Brigade on a date to be advised.

“Prospective
candidates should attach certified copies of the following documents on their
handwritten application letters: General Duty; Ordinary level certificate with
a minimum of five subjects passes, long birth certificate, National
Registration Card and be aged between 18 to 22 years.

“For specialists be
aged between 18 to 30 years and attach certificate, diploma or any higher
qualification in the field of speciality supported with 5 ‘O’ level passes
including English and Mathematics,” said Maj Chirinda.

The depositing of
letters for both the General Duty and Specialists categories will take place at
the following centres, in  Masvingo
District at Headquarters 4 Infantry Brigade, Nemanwa RDC, ZRP Renco Mine, DA’s
Office and ZRP Mashava, in Gutu District at 42 Infantry Battalion, ZRP
Chartsworth, DA’s Office and, ZRP Bhasera, Zaka District at DA’s Office, ZRP
Jichidza and ZRP Chivamba, Chiredzi District 
at DA’s Office, ZRP Malipati, ZRP Chikombedzi, ZRP Ndali and ZRP
Triangle, in Bikita District at DA’s office, ZRP Mashoko and ZRP Chikuku,
Mwenezi District at  ZRP Neshuro, DA’s
Office, ZRP Mwenezi and ZRP Maranda and in Chivi District at DA’s Office, ZRP
Ngundu, ZRP Mhandamabwe and ZRP Berejena.
